… It has finally arrived at the Sierra Senior Center! The first Friday of each month is now the cooking destination for different cooking themes and “hands-on” experiences. Enjoy an early evening with 12 of your “newest, closest friends” (class is limited in size) learning how to make foods that you may never have attempted to create before… and walk away as

a Pro!

Who: the first 12 people ages 18- 80+ who sign up and reserve their spot in the class.

When: Friday, October 6th, 5:00pm-7:00pm

Where: The Sierra Senior Center (located behind the Oakhurst Community Center)

Why: Because only the cool people come out on Friday Night to meet new people – create cooking magic- and dine like superstars!

Cost: $45 per person (Senior Center members $40 per person) – which includes the use of the Senior Center kitchen, menu, recipes, hands-on cooking instruction, YOUR gourmet style dinner to enjoy together and “cooking favors” for the clean-up crew!

How to choose the right cut of Beef for the right cooking purpose. Dinner will include the perfect cut of Beef for the occasion, stir-fried Asparagus, stuffed Mushrooms braised in Marcella Wine and Molten Chocolate Lava Cake for all of the chocolate lovers in the house! Come with or without a date for a night to remember!   

We will always end the evening course with enjoying the “fruits of our labor” and culinary gifts for the dishwashers! Bring your cameras… this will be a beautiful spread!

Your instructors are Bruce and Lori Howard. We’ve spent 12 years building coffee houses in San Diego, catering and then enjoying 16 years as the owners and operators of Yosemite

We’ve had the luxury of taking cooking courses in many different countries and bringing that culture and those recipes back to our everyday life. Lori has been a Food Service Manager since 1992 and Bruce has his Food Handlers Certificate.

• Italy in Oakhurst- Dried and hand-made pastas with all that goes with it

• Let’s Get “Saucy”-Sauces, dried and fresh herbs, garnish pickling, finishing salts and flavored oils 

• Wok This Way- Asian Food made with or without a Wok

• Handling The Holidays- “TIPS” on lowering the stress level and enjoying the season, foods for gift giving* and much, much more!
